And now, for the grand finale of cosplay photo spamming: MY BADASS GIJINKA KYUREM.

I said in my first uploaded picture of this cosplay that there were so many things to say about it, but that's because this represents an epic milestone for me in so many ways in terms of cosplay. It's the first time I've been able to construct a cosplay of this complexity in a short amount of time, it's the first time I've ever brought a character design of mine to life in costume form, the first time I've worn such a huge and cumbersome costume, but most of all, the first time I've felt like a sexy badass. >:D

Also as I mentioned previously, I was originally going to have a Reshiram and Zekrom to go along with this cosplay, but sadly they wouldn't have been able to have their costumes ready in time for Otakon. But, we are definitely determined to make this happen at Katsucon 2012! Our sexy Tao Trio is gonna take Katsucon by storm, mark my words. They won't know what hit them. :plotting:

Ger was awesome enough to get a full-body shot of Kyurem, and it's definitely the best one I've gotten back thus far. I only made a slight edit in photoshopping my eyes to be yellow, since I was originally going to be wearing yellow contacts, yet unfortunately they turned out to be so uncomfortable I couldn't wear them for even half an hour. DX I hope to get them to work in the future, because I paid a good sixty bucks for the pair!

I've only got one more picture of Kyurem I'm planning to post, but for the lack of photos I'll have of Kyurem for now, it'll be more than apt compensation. You'll see what I mean. ;)

I'm actually really not sure what specific con I'm going to bring Kyurem to next. D: I still really want to do the Tao Trio with a couple of friends of mine, but I have no idea if that's actually going to happen anymore.

omg yeah i saw you with a reshiram i was happy to see even that XD
but zekroms are pretty hard to come by XD he's not cosplayed often. you're a great cosplayer >w< and i totally love you for doing kyurem!
he's totally underloved ;A;


but if you are indeed going to otakon again i would so totally love to invite you to perhaps a pokemon gijinka group? :D

Yep, she was able to make it but our Zekrom has been lacking the funds for cosplay and cons, from what I understand. :( That's why she's had to drop the cosplay two cons in a row...

Aww, thank you! :love: To tell you the truth, I really didn't think that much of Kyurem at first; I was actually asked by the aforementioned Reshiram and Zekrom to be the Kyurem in the group and I thought it was an awesome idea, so I jumped in on it. And even though the plans fell through, I still had an awesome time cosplaying Kyurem as it's been my most ambitious project to date, and Kyurem did eventually grow on me as a result!

I am going to Otakon this summer, although I've got a bunch of other cosplays planned so I don't think I can possibly fit in a Pokemon gijinka... I always do love Pokemon gijinka groups! Besides Kyurem, I have a Kyogre as well, and I'm planning a Jolteon one, and maybe Hydreigon. :la:

and that kyurem definantely looked ambitious! it must've been a PAIN walking through crowds!!

if you dont mind me asking what else are you cosplaying for otakon? ^w^ haha i'm always happy to chat about cosplay with other cosplayers!

Thanks! :) Can't really take credit for the design, though, since I didn't design it--I based it off the official Hitec gijinkas, if you're familiar with those. (I really want someone to cosplay the Hitec Groundon with me someday, it looks so badass. DX) And oh man, you have NO idea! Both Katsucon and Otakon I was constantly bumping into walls and people; twice I've knocked off one of the cones on the wings and had to hot glue it back on. I also have like no peripheral vision because of the headpieces. XD

Oh man, I could do, cosplay is my LIFE. I'm doing two Legend of Zelda groups on Friday and Saturday, and I'm cosplay both Ruto from Ocarina of Time and Lulu from Majora's Mask. I'm also doing Yuna's default outfit from Final Fantasy X-2, and then I'm HOPING to do Kraehe from Princess Tutu with a friend who is cosplay Tutu. I don't how familiar you are with any of those fandoms. XD
